Coaching that goes with you …wherever you’re headed

Maybe you’re planning for a significant change. Maybe you want to feel a greater sense of satisfaction and purpose in your transition to parenthood and working parenthood. Or maybe you want to connect and communicate more meaningfully in your relationships. Whatever it is, working with Christine will help you to clarify what it is you want and learn practical strategies and perspectives to get there.

What is coaching?

Coaching is a method that combines elements of counseling and advising in order to work towards goals of personal and professional development.

How does it differ from therapy?

Coaching is usually very focused on reaching specific goals by following a set of action steps in order to get there. Processing emotions and understanding how to shift thoughts and mindset are almost always part of this, as is active listening, but it is usually more targeted and future facing than therapy. While therapy also usually features goals related to the future, the path for arriving there involves focus on reducing distress and healing from the past. There is usually an orientation around in depth emotional processing and healing. The understanding of emotion  mindset involved in coaching is usually not quite as extensive.

What kind of coaching do you offer?

My coaching practice is primarily centered around the coaching related to the transition to parenthood and returning from parental leave. I also work with other areas of personal and professional goals, particularly as they relate to self care for parents, career transitions, work/life balance.
